#signitoverberkeley is a bottom-up movement to support those hardest hit by the current coronavirus pandemic and ensuing financial crisis.
We're asking those with capacity to forego some or all of their stimulus check by passing on that financial capital directly to someone in need or to a local 501(c)(3) organization that is distributing food and other life-saving essentials. Please be aware that your stimulus check is tax-free--yay! And if you donate it to a 501(c)(3), you can take a charitable deduction on your taxes.
Please consider supporting one of these local aid providers.
We are a community-centered model for providing services to the food insecure residents of Berkeley, both housed and unhoused.
The Berkeley Food Pantry provides monthly emergency groceries to Berkeley and Albany families and individuals in need.
Alameda County Food Bank
